Processing varies slightly with different fruits, but all fruits are thoroughly washed prior to peeling or slicing. Once preparation of the fruits is finished they are placed on racks and put into the freeze dry machine. Water is then removed from the fruits through a process called sublimation. This process gives freeze dried fruits the ability to re-absorb water later on.
Apples contain potassium, dietary fiber, Vitamin B6, C, magnesium, and calcium. They are a healthy snack for any occasion.
